How to add WishYoo to your Slack
Use any of these options:
Visit our home page and click the button “ Add to Slack” or go to Slack App Directory and click the button there.
Then, grant WishYoo permission to integrate on your Slack. That’s it!
Installed. What now?
Click on the Home tab of the App which includes your Personal Settings, the Workspace Settings (visible if you are an administrator of the Slack channel) and a button to create a card.
Your Personal Settings include reminders and your own event calendar.
The Administrator Space includes channel settings, calendar synchronization, and more.
Basic Interface
Any person in the channel can make a card for another team member and select what channels are invited to sign the card.
Any user can receive more than one (birthday) card from a group or individual team members. However, we’ll let everyone know that a group card exists before making a second one.
That channel will display basic information about upcoming celebrations and cards recently made and ready to be signed.
Settings
Personal settings: Set your birthday (month and date only ) and the type of notifications you want to receive when a card has been created for a team member.
See the cards you have created and signed and revisit them if you want to.
Admin Settings: Set default notifications and card delivery options for the team (some can be overridden at the user level). Manage your subscription payments and edit App administrators.
Determine when to send a card if a birthdays falls during the weekend. By default, WishYoo will send the card on the next Monday but you can choose the previous Friday instead.
Reminders and notifications
We’ll message the channel members to sign cards and to remind them of the calendar of events and celebrations coming up.
Administrators have Notification settings that apply to everyone in the Workspace but individual members can overwrite them in their personal setting options.
Calendars
Team Calendar: Available only for Administrators to set teams birthdays and manage invitations to sign cards.
User calendar: Available to team members in the channel/s to add a personal events and to keep track of ecards that are ready to be signed.
Adding or editing messages/signatures
To edit a signature, the user just needs to visit the card and click the edit button. The browser should recognize the person who signed and substitute the previous message for the new one.
If you need any other modification on a card already created, just send us a message to support@wishyoo.com
Deleting cards
Cards are deleting every 3 years. Administrators or the person who creates a card, can deleted before that time from the Admin or Personal Settings.
Download/print a card
WishYoo cards look great when all messages and signatures are downloaded and printed. Contact us at support@wishyoo.com if you want to receive all signatures from a card on a ZIP file. If we have enough of these requests, we’ll create a functionality to order inexpensive prints through the App.
Payments and subscription Renewals
We established a flat-fee subscription to simplify things and make it easy for you and for us. Administrators can access their Settings and renew their subscription in a few easy clicks.
If you’d like to pay your subscription using other payment methods than credit card, please send us s quick note to support@wishyoo.com and we’ll make it work for you.
Data: we are Slack-approved and we never, ever disclose, sell or trade your data with anyone. Not now, not later, not ever.
